Store Philosophy:

Objects in the home express the personality of its inhabitants. Our products are eclectic with a contemporary bent. Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s, our home had its share of easy-to-relate-to Scandinavian home wares for everyday use as well as the fine dining accessories purchased when my parents married in the mid 40’s. The dove shaped birds hand painted on platters, the clean, crisp butterfly decorated milk pitchers, the aqua enameled cookware, the wheel thrown salad bowls. Nothing matched and the art was to tune into how pieces complemented each other and made for great entertaining. The different personalities of the objects at Essentia live together easily in a pleasing visual manner. Nothing has to shout but each is a gem within a setting.

At Essentia you will find objects that like a finely crafted pair of shoes feel like a comfortable slip-on even when new. Or, as decorator Rose Tarlow completed her living room with an animal print handbag positioned on a couch as a pillow, we will find the object that will serve as the perfect punctuation for your room.
